R. Anti-Wire Tapping Act (RA 4200)

Interception

Under Sec. 3(m) of RA 10175, “interception” refers to listening to, recording, monitoring or surveillance of the content of communications, including procuring of the content of data, either directly, through access and use of a computer system or indirectly, through the use of electronic eavesdropping or tapping devices, at the same time that the communication is occurring.

Separately, Sec. 1 of RA 4200 prohibits the unauthorized secret overhearing, interception, or recording of a private communication or spoken word through the devices or arrangements it describes.
