4. Proof vs. Evidence

Proof v. Evidence

PROOF EVIDENCE
The result or the probative effect of evidence. When the requisite quantum of evidence of a particular fact has been duly admitted and given weight, the result is called the proof of such fact. The medium or means by which a fact is proved or disproved.

“Evidence of Guilt”

It refers to a finding of innocence or culpability, regardless of the modifying circumstances.
