ii. Not Subject to Desistance or Compromise
Jurisdiction over the subject matter cannot be conferred by the following:
- Administrative policy of any court;
- A court’s unilateral assumption of jurisdiction;
- Contract;
- Compromise;
- An erroneous belief by the court that it has jurisdiction;
- Acquiescence of the court; or
- Silence, waiver, or failure to object.
