2. Telecommuting Program
Work from Home (WFH) or Telecommuting Work Arrangement
Establishments are highly encouraged to adopt a WFH or telecommuting arrangement when feasible. Ees are provided with adequate support to perform the assigned task or job. (Sec. 3, Labor Advisory No. 17-B, s. 2020)
Alternative Work Schemes
For pandemic-related arrangements under Labor Advisory No. 17-B, s. 2020, the following duration limit applied: The Alternative Work Schemes/Flexible Work Arrangements are temporary in nature and shall be adopted for as long as the Public Health Crisis exists. (Sec. 4, Ibid.) The COVID-19 public health emergency has ended (Proclamation No. 297, s. 2023). Telecommuting remains available under RA 11165 and its implementing rules, as amended by DOLE Department Order No. 237-22.
